Quality & Food Safety
At Pizza Rocks, quality and safety are central to the way we prepare, store, cook, and serve our pizzas.
Handmade preparation
Every Pizza Rocks pizza begins with dough and ingredients prepared by hand by our pizzaiolos. Preparation follows consistent daily routines designed around freshness, hygiene, and craft.
Ingredient quality
We select ingredients based on flavour, freshness, and consistency — real tomato, real mozzarella, fresh basil, and quality meats and vegetables. Where relevant, gluten-free and lactose-free alternatives are made available.
Daily production standards
Dough and toppings are prepared fresh on a daily schedule. Stock is rotated and monitored to ensure nothing served has exceeded its intended freshness window.
Temperature control
Ingredients are stored and held at food-safe temperatures throughout preparation, storage, and prior to cooking, in line with Australian food safety guidance for perishable goods.
Cooking consistency
Each pizza is cooked to order using calibrated, repeatable cooking cycles, so every pizza reaches a safe internal temperature while keeping the base, cheese, and toppings at their best.
Cleaning and maintenance
Machines and preparation areas follow scheduled cleaning and maintenance routines to maintain hygiene standards and consistent food quality over time.
Allergen information
Pizza Rocks pizzas may contain or come into contact with common allergens including gluten, dairy, and other ingredients. Customers with allergies or intolerances should check current allergen information before ordering. Selected menu items offer gluten-free base and lactose-free cheese options where available.
Supplier standards
We work with suppliers who meet Australian food safety and quality expectations, and we review ingredient sourcing as part of our ongoing quality process.
Continuous improvement
Food safety and quality are treated as an ongoing discipline, not a one-off certification. Our processes, equipment, and supplier relationships are reviewed and refined over time.
